As part of its business expansion programme, Redditch-based precision engineering firm KG Washford (KGW) has launched a new website that will enhance visitor experience and strengthen its digital presence.

KGW commissioned Midlands-based web design agency Clickingmad Ltd to design, build and host the new look website. The site focuses heavily on user experience, with easy navigation and high quality imagery, along with being suitable for use on mobile and tablet devices. KGW’s recent growth has been reflected in a significant rise in website traffic and it was crucial for them to invest in an adaptable digital platform that’s easily accessible. The result is a fully responsive, content-rich site, which allows for easy updating by KGW staff through its built-in Joomla content management system.

“The site's clean, fresh look, combined with enhanced content, improved search functionality and optimization for mobile devices, allows clients and visitors to better interact with the wide range of specialist engineering services that KGW has to offer,” commented Chris Taylor, KGW’s Marketing Director. "We believe that this new site will allow our visitors to have a more informative experience as we continue to grow and increase our market presence."

The launch of the new website follows a period of unprecedented growth for the 43-year-old precision engineering company. KGW is one of the UK’s leading specialists in the design and manufacture of customised rigs, which test fuel system components in civil and military aircraft. A series of substantial new orders for hydro-mechanical test rigs has led to KGW investing in new premises solely for the purpose of assembling test rigs and creating a considerable number of new jobs.

Many of the components used to build these rigs are machine tooled on site in KGW’s own workshop, thus providing a comprehensive, turnkey solution for customers looking to introduce greater cost efficiencies from a more streamlined rig manufacturing process.

KGW’s Operations Director, Gerard Tilley, added: “We’ve witnessed an astonishing period of growth, and there has been no better time to invest in our digital presence. A new website, better information and a much-improved user experience will help to uphold the KGW customer service offering.”
